Fundraising in Full Swing for Knights Cooperstown Trip

Little Majors Stadium at Cooperstown Dreams Park in Cooperstown, New York
Thanks to Zaxby's at the Church St Extenion
in Downtown Marietta
The Marietta Knights have been invited to play at the birthplace of baseball, Cooperstown, NY June 1-8. The Knights will play a minimum of seven games against some of the best teams from across the United States at Cooperstown Dreams Park. And of course, the Knights will also get to visit the plaques of Eddie Matthews, Phil Niekro and Hank Aaron at the National Baseball Hall of Fame. This is a great opportunity for the boys.

Led by Jill Wells and Sandra Williamson the Knights are doing a great job of fundraising for the trip with the help of Knights' friends, family and the Marietta community. We got off to a great start with a spirit night at Zaxby's on the Church Street Extension on November 8. Zaxby's donated 10% of all sales as over 130 Knights' family and friends dined there between 5 and 8pm. The event turned into a great social event. As a highlight to the evening Marietta also recieved a generous sponsorship from Capital Restoration.

The Knights are also selling custom coffees from Aroma Ridge Coffee, a great family owned Marietta business specializing in gourmet mountain grown coffees from around the world. Aroma Ridge created customized bags with the Knights' logo. The ballplayers have found the premium coffees very easy to sell.
Coffee is for Closers: Fireballers Hunter, Garrett and Austin
moved alot of coffee at Johnny's New York Style Pizza on
Lower Roswell Road in East Cobb.
The Knights are selling:
Cooperstown Coffee
Double Play Decaf
Fast Ball French Vanilla
Bring the Heat Hazlenut
Perfect Pitch Pumkin Spice
10th Inning Torte - Bourbon Pecan Torte
Silent Knight Holiday Blend

The team has also gotten amazing support through donations from family and friends. It's been very gratifying to see how youth baseball and the thrill of the boys getting to play in Cooperstown has energized the community. It is no surprise how excited the boys are for the trip but we did not anticipate how excited those around us would be as well. Many thanks to all Knights' fans and supporters. Be on the lookout for more fundraising opportunities to come.

If you would like to sponsor the Knights or buy some of our premium coffee contact your favorite Knights player (or coach!) or email sandraNwilliamson@hotmail.com
