Isaac Zefo earned the season's first tough man award after a very scary moment in the top of the 1st inning of game 1 against the Bandits. Isaac was dealing strikes when the Bandit's number three batter hit a hard line drive right into Isaac's chest. Once he was able to get up, the coaches tried to get Isaac to leave the mound for the day but he refused and insisted on finishing the inning. Isaac ended up with a very solid 57% strikes.
The Knights day offensively was highlighted by alot of hard hit balls and great baserunning. Mason Doyle was 3 for 4 on the day with 2 runs scored and 4 stolen bases. Isaac had 2 RBI's and Cal Hughes added an RBI double. Isaac, Cal and Will Nelson each stole 2 bases. The Knights stole 13 bases in all.

Overall, the Knights looked alot like a team that has had very little practice this fall, which they are. But there were flashes of great baseball on the diamond today and many reasons for Knights' fans to be optimistic about the Spring season.
